Founded in 2001 by April Thibeault (Emerson College, NYU Stern MBA), AMT PR is a NYC-based boutique traditional media relations firm working in the fields of music, culture, and the performing arts. Recognized as a leader in its field, AMT PR specializes in publicity for today’s foremost performing artists and organizations including venues, festivals, record labels, and artists. AMT PR has successfully executed national media campaigns for Grammy nominees and winners such as several BMOP/sound album releases, ETHEL string quartet, Kirsten Agresta-Copely, Mingus Big Band, and more. AMT PR has represented noteworthy artists and ensembles such as NEA Jazz Master Chico Hamilton, Miami City Ballet Principal dancer Dawn Atkins, Martha Graham Dance Company, composers Lukas Ligeti and Daniel Bernard Roumain, organist Gail Archer, Cantata Singers, Castle of Our Skins, The Dessoff Choirs, Musica Viva NY choir, etc.; as well as organizations and venues leading the music industry such as the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), BMOP/sound record label, Odyssey Opera, White Snake Projects, SMOKE Jazz Club and its record label SMOKE Sessions Records, New York Opera Alliance, New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), Hudson Hall (Hudson, New York), Virgil Thomson Foundation, South Orange Performing Arts Center, ISSUE Project Room, Django Jazz Club, and more.
